Dandelion and Bobo Calcutta unveil The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet, a quirky range of nightwear

If you are one of those who destress through sleep and indulge in all things related to slumber, then you probably can't afford to miss the latest luxury designer sleepwear brought out by Ayushman Mitra's BOBO Calcutta in collaboration with Samyukta Nair's Dandelion.

The eclectic range of chic nightwear called The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet champions the concept of self-love and draws inspiration from none other than Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. 

The collaborative collection of comfortable sleepwear has all the quirk that Ayushman is associated with and the delightful graphic prints are meeting points for minimalist and maximalist design forms.

The whimsical patterns skilfully include meticulous details and the pretty meets protest without many clashes, merging into a dreamlike collection that draws from Shakespeare’s words of poetry, and spinning a chiding into an act of joyful defiance. 

“We believe sleeping soundly is a thing of beauty- the ultimate act of self-love in a world that champions hustle, and demonizes taking time off to re-energize. A celebration of that deeply personal, unpretentious quiet time, is at the very core of Dandelion and what makes this collection, in particular, such a beautiful collaboration,” says Samyukta Nair.  

BothSamyukta and Ayushman being self-proclaimed romantics, the idea of love is central to this collection. One can spot that in the gentle brushstrokes that form the swirl of a cloud and expressions on a character, in the serene colour pallet inspired by the many moods of a sky, and dreamy pocket details created with delicate arrey threadwork.    

“This collaboration celebrates the dreamer- the very idea of submerging oneself in the whimsical fantasies of our imagination. Taking inspiration from Shakespeare, we created original artwork that were developed into prints that feature in the collection. Lovers perched on floating clouds, eyes laden with fresh bloom, sipping sweet nectar amidst changing hues of the autumn skies are just a few examples,” tells Ayushman Mitra.

The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet  brings back Dandelion’s classic notched collar set and quintessential robe with new silhouettes including a pajama in pure cotton. The collection also introduces a new line of accessories including toiletry kits, makeup pouches, utility bags, and slippers.
