El Chapo's wife to launch a fashion line inspired by the Mexican drug lord
Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman, the notorious Mexican drug lord, might be in prison at the moment, awaiting his sentencing in June this year, but his lifestyle and legacy continues to roam free. The Netflix show, El Chapo, chronicled his life, giving viewers a look at the way he rose from an abused child to feared kingpin. And now, his wife, Emma Coronel, is set to launch a clothing line inspired by his personal style.
“I am very excited and hope I can create things that everyone likes,” 29-year-old Coronel said in a post on Instagram earlier this week. While he is expected to spend the rest of his life in prison, the profits from the business will reportedly not go into his pockets, but will go to Coronel who is raising their twin daughters. Called El Chapo Guzman, the label will include sports and casual wear apart from baseball caps and jackets.
