Featuring over 60 fashion designers from across India, the Vimonisha Mega Style Souk 2017- Designer Exhibition is back with its 117th edition. Curated by Monisha Gidwani, the CEO of Vimonisha Exhibitions the show will showcase the latest collection of jewellery, wedding wears and more along with assistance from a wardrobe stylist. Providing a platform for designers from across the country to showcase their latest collections, the two-day exhibition will also feature wedding vendors making it a one-stop destination for every bride.
“A lot of exhibitions take place in Chennai every week. Since its the wedding season, we are bringing traditional wedding wear which is a blend of heavy as well as simple designs so that they don’t get stuck in the closet. Such clothes are versatile and can be used again later,” says Monisha Gidwani.
The exhibition will feature exclusive designs of fashion designers and jewelers from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Banaras, and Lucknow. The collection is also aimed at the upcoming winter weddings, New Year festivities, Christmas brunches, cocktail parties and the like.
“Another specialty if this exhibition is that for the first time in an exhibition in Chennai there is going to be a personality coach and a stylist who will help people to shop depending on their style and personality,” Monisha added.

Bringing celebrity designer Lalchand Dhalamall Sons for the first time to Chennai, the label will showcase contemporary and classic couture jewellery. Designer ensembles by Mumbai-based design house Preeti Jhawer, Restored Handloom Weaves by Sonchiraiya – Banaras artisans, gorgeous silhouettes by Gaurvi, Spunky fusions by Naina Seth, Reina Design Studio, Chandigarh will also be part of the two-day exhibition. The exhibition will also showcase a sophisticated collection of wearable art by Ash Mahtani and classic jewellery using top quality diamonds, gemstones, and gold by the brand LDS.
