Celebrating the onset of Summer and Spring, the Palladium at Phoenix MarketCity is kickstarting the Palladium Fashion Avenue — a three-week long event that will feature everything from interactive installations, exclusive talks with style icons and master classes from industry experts.
“The event will flag off with celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania explaining about the Spring/Summer style trends,”informs Darshana Balagopal, marketing head at Palladium. “This will be followed by an illusion act by mentalist Rahul Kharbanda.” Also watch out for a talk titled The Past, Present and Future of Fashion by model Neelakshi Singh, Chennai’s bespoke designer Osman Abdul Razak, designer Vivek Karunakaran, celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri, celebrity make-up artist Pallavi Symons and owner of San-Cha Tea boutique Sanjay Kapur. Neelakshi Singh, who has previously modelled for Chennai brand Label Sikhat and others, is in Chennai for the first time and says, “I am going to bring onboard the topic of body positivity. And I want to tell people that body positivity isn’t just about plus size women, its about all women who feel conscious about their body and their skin colour.”
With a good one-and-a-half-hour-long masterclass, renowned make up artist Namrata Soni from Mumbaiwill be bringing to the table the daunting topic of summer make-up. “I am going to be talking about embracing the summer considering how increasingly humid it has been. So my mantra is ‘less is more’,” explains Namrata. She adds how make-up does help with boosting confidence with issues like acne, or hormonal problems, while also focusing on accepting your skin colour.
Palladium Fashion Avenue will conclude with a star-studded grand finale fashion show with a trio of designers — supermodel and fashion designer of Demi Love Gabriella Demetriades, Vivek Karunakaran and Osman Abdul Razak on April 17.
