Everything at this newly opened cafe will make you want to take a picture. From the pink and pastel green walls, pink suede chairs and wall messages to the cereal counter, Candy Cloud Factory is for everyone who loves a pop of pink and has a big sweet tooth!

Pratik and Ronak Golecha, Sahil Gadiya and Prathyaksh Maloo are the four boys behind this innovative new cafe that serves some unique dishes like Cotton Candy Burritos, Cereal Milkshakes, Freak Shakes and Waffle Pops. “We came across a video of cotton candy burritos that had gone viral last year. Since then, we were keen to offer this in Bengaluru. So we worked on the idea for nearly eight months and opened Candy Cloud Factory a few weeks ago,” says Pratik. Everything here is made fresh, including the cotton candy. However, the cereals are imported from the US.

Unicorn dreams
Keen to know what a cotton candy burrito tastes like, we dropped by on a weekday evening and started by sampling the signature Unicorn Burrito. A fairly large portion of cotton candy was spun and filled with marshmallows, chocolate chips, sprinkle pop unicorn mix, strawberry compote, bubble gum ice cream, whipped cream and white chocolate sauce. The cotton candy was then rolled and sliced in two. Although we thought the cotton candy would get soggy with all the fillings, surprisingly, it held its form. The flavours of the bubble gum ice cream, the sharp strawberry notes and the richness of cream were in perfect harmony. And the pop rocks in the sprinkle unicorn mix added to the fun.

We then tried two cereal milkshakes — the Mango Candy Apple Jacksand Mocha Cocoa Puffs. The Mango Candy shake made with mango, cotton candy milkshake and apple jacks turned out to be the better of the two. The mango went well with the cotton candy and the three-grain cereal that’s sweetened with apple and cinnamon. The latter, made with coffee, chocolate milkshake and cocoa puffs was nice but nothing out of the ordinary.

With so much sugar in our system, we were craving something savoury and Candy Cloud Factory didn’t disappoint. They have a short but well-curated savoury menu that serves sandwiches, burgers and deep-fried treats. We sampled the Pizza Triangles and the Mexican Grilled Cheese sandwich. The Pizza Triangles, crispy pastry stuffed with a pizza-flavoured filling, was quite delicious. The sandwich, made with cheddar cheese, mozzarella, salsa and peppers, helped us recover from the sugar overload. With an unusual concept and some Pinterest-worthy interiors and dishes, Candy Cloud Factory is certainly a must visit, and age is certainly no bar at this fun cafe!
