From culturally rich eateries soaked in tradition to contemporary pubs, clubs, and stunning cafés and restaurants, the city boasts a culinary haven for everyone’s taste. For those enchanted by the allure of dining under the stars, Zindagi in Jubilee Hills welcomes you. This rooftop lounge and bar has become the talk of the town, attracting foodies with its charming ambience and food. It’s also noteworthy that they have recently introduced a special summer menu, providing even more incentive for everyone to visit this destination.

As we stepped into the venue, we were immediately engulfed by a relaxed aura. The multi-level seating arrangements added a fascinating dimension to the space. While the interior was dimly lit to set the evening mood, the lamps provided just enough illumination. What added to the vibe was the live music being performed by local artistes on a dedicated stage. And, of course, one couldn’t help but be drawn to the stunning liquor counter, where talented bartenders showcased their craft with finesse.

We preferred sipping on a few mocktails to start with. The banana talk delighted with its blend of banana puree and orange juice, enhanced by a hint of maple syrup. Meanwhile, the chunky rose triggered our taste buds with its sweetness. Lastly, Sip & spark offered a delightful coconut twist that left us refreshed. As far as the food was concerned, we ordered Watermelon & feta salad and masala pav bhaji, both of which make for interesting picks from their new summer menu. The Watermelon & feta salad, with its ingenious arrangement of stacked watermelon slices interspersed with layers of creamy feta cheese, revitalised our senses. Offering a refreshing blend of lightness, flavour, and hydration, it’s an ideal choice for this season. The pav bhaji, generously topped with butter, whisked us away to the vibrant streets of Mumbai, known for this iconic dish. While enjoying street food in a chic lounge setting may seem unconventional, the authenticity of the taste made it a truly worthwhile experience.

We then chomped on a regular starter multani paneer (Mughal-e-paneer rolls) stuffed with a tempting preparation of mushrooms. After this, we tried ghee roast chicken, a great option for desi food enthusiasts. Served on a lachha paratha, the chicken was impeccably cooked to perfection. We savoured a colourful and healthy platter consisting of grilled chicken accompanied by mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables.

All in all, it’s a place where you can escape the burdens of daily life and immerse yourself in the lively ambience, making it the perfect spot for a weekend getaway.
