If you are among those who go bananas over mangoes, Khandani Rajhdhani is the place for you to be. The restaurant in Park Street will blow your mind with their lavish spread that will leave you spoilt for choice. And that’s not an understatement.

A huge thali with over 10 bowls greeted us when we settled for the Aamlicious festival. And the journey that started with the soft Mango Khandvi, peppered with mustard seeds triggered a non-stop session that occupied every inch of the space on the thali. The bowls filled up fast with dal and sabzi tantalising our taste buds with different notes of the ripe and raw mangoes. The Kairi Thepla and roti satiated the demand of the mango lover inside us to taste everything on our plate. We sampled the fare that included Aam Churi Gunda Ki Subzi, Kacche Aam Ki Launji, Goonda Kaisi Nu Saag, Rajasthani Kaju aur Aam ki Sabzi and many more delectable. Aam Pista Pulav and Marwari Kacchi Kairi Biryani had a tangy twist and we enjoyed every spoonful of them. Over 20 dishes made us fall in love with the fruit all over again.

The dessert offering had us floored. A bite into the Hapus Jalebi opened floodgates of flavours in our mouth. The slice of ripe mango, dipped in sugar syrup and fried in jalebi batter and then dipped again in the sugar syrup is a sinful treat. We bet you will call for more helpings. The Mango Gulkand Malpua won our hearts as well with the helping of rabri on top. The aamras, thick puree of mango, was pure indulgence.

Chaat counter too gave a twist to the traditional chaats and a must try would be Aam Khasta Kachori that had a sweet note of the ripe mango syrup and Kaccha Aam Chinese Bhel for its piquant notes.
