Gadget Boy recommends: The future looks bright with HiFuture audio products
Review: HiFuture Olymbuds
Chennai, Dec 21: Over the last year, I have tried and tested literally over 200 pairs of TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earphones which have slowly become a must-have in the wearables category.
TWS is a unique segment where it either works for you or doesn't. Most of them are a “Miss” rather than a “Hit”.
Recently, I got a chance to test drive 'OlymBuds' over a weekend getaway, the results were mostly positive.
Firstly, I must say they provide a warm, comfortable bass that makes the entire audio experience “soothing”.
I found dialogue and audio for movies to be in perfect sync with my iPad thanks to low latency BT 5.0 (6 Underground with Ryan Reynolds in Netflix was particularly entertaining).
HiFuture says the Olymbuds are specially designed to suit the “Indian ear shape”. Overall battery life was decent at about 6 hours plus as promised.
The IPX 5 waterproof rating served me well when I hit up the treadmill for a few sessions; also good for a quick dash in and out of the shower.
These ear-buds also come with tiny fins for better fitting which I've never been a fan of, but hey you can't have it all.
Calls were ok, sometimes I felt there was too much “depth” inside a call resulting in an unnecessary “surround sound” conversation.
With Siri and Google Assistant built-in, all the boxes are ticked. They come with a snug case, that doubles back as a charger to keep them juiced on the go.
HiFuture also has several other high-quality audio products in their portfolio including FutureBuds, Necklace and TidyBudsPro and an ANC BT headphone.
Check out their products at Amazon India, INR 3999 for the Olymbuds.
