The Met Gala 2022, which took place on May 2 (EST) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, saw some epic fashion moments from celebrities, including Indian cultural representation from socialite Natasha Poonawalla, Blake Lively's dress transforming to an ode to New York architecture, Billie Eilish making a statement on sustainability by opting for an upcycled Gucci gown.The theme and dress code for this year was ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’, or ‘Gilded Glamour’.
Blake Lively initially arrived in a grand bronze and rose gold Versace gown while her husband Ryan Reynolds was in a brown velvet suit.
However, Blake’s gown then transformed into a shimmery layer of baby blue after a bow was pulled.
Socialite Natasha Poonawalla brought in some Indian cultural representation. She wore a shimmering gold, handcrafted, printed tulle sari that was paired with a hand-forged metal bustier in gold.
Kylie Jenner opted for a contemporary twist on a wedding gown designed by American fashion label Off-White’s founder, the late Virgil Abloh.
Kim Kardashian wore a crystal-embellished gown last worn by Marilyn Monroe six decades ago when she serenaded the US president John F Kennedy for his birthday.

Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner's ensemble included a sheer black top and a gigantic black ruffled skirt. She completed her look with a simple pair of diamond earrings, massive lashes and bleached eyebrows.
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian wore quirky matching black skirts to the event, with Kourtney flashing some leg with a high slit, and Travis looking stylish in a pleated kilt.
Dakota Johnson made an appearance in a custom-made, black, sheer jumpsuit designed by Gucci that had floral work and silver tassels all over. She paired it with a ruby-red robe.
Ariana DeBose paid homage to her historic Oscar win (being the first openly gay woman to bag an Oscar) with her shimmering strapless Moschino gown. She was accompanied by designer Jeremy Scott.
Hailey Bieber went for a sinfully elegant, white Saint Laurent gown with a long train that she paired with black stockings.

Cara Delevingne initially showed up in a red Dior Haute Couture suit with tails and paired it with a walking stick.
However, she soon removed the jacket and revealed her naked torso covered in shimmering gold body paint. She also had on a pair of gold nipple covers and gold chains that extended down her bust.

Singer Olivia Rodrigo dazzled in a sparkling purple Versace gown that was complemented with matching butterflies in her hair as a tribute to the silent film stars of the Gilded Age.
Katy Perry chose an asymmetrical Oscar de la Renta gown featuring sheer black lace and a super-short skirt beneath its bustled train.
Bridgerton star Simone Ashley went for an understated, stunning look in a ballooning black cape and glittery bronze bodice for her first Met Gala appearance.
