Forgot Mother’s Day? Here are five ways to make it up to your mom

Moms have many great qualities that make them the superstars they are. But one thing that truly stands out is their ability to forgive… again and again and again… and again. So if you forgot to do something special for the main woman in your life on Mother’s Day, here are some great ways to make it up to her:

Spa Day
Catch up on what’s happening in each other’s lives with a mother-daughter spa day. Some of our favourite spas in the city, such as Jiva Spa at The Taj and The Spa by Espa at The Ritz-Carlton, have exotic treatments like Jaali Embrace (using two therapists, hot volcanic stones and warm oil) and Ukuchina (an age-old healing practice of Zambia).

Wine tour
There’s nothing like bonding over glasses of wine. Wineries located just outside the city, such as SDU and Grover Zampa, have regular wine tours and tasting sessions with lunch.

Movie marathon
Set an evening aside and give your mom a break from all her responsibilities for a movie marathon. Some great movies for the occasion are Dumplin, Lady Bird, Mildred Pierce and Secrets & Lies. Order in some comfort food to munch on while watching.

Go on a road trip
Admire the beauty of nature at Sangam or explore the ruins and ancient temples of Lepakshi. Both less than 200 kilometres away from Bengaluru, driving to either of these places is a great way to spend some quality time with your mom.

Take a class
The city has plenty of classes and workshops that will help you exercise your creativity - from decoupage to baking, chocolate-making, painting and candle-making. We’re sure you and your mom will find it easy to agree on one that interests both of you.
