Don't miss this grand 75-feet Christmas tree at Phoenix Marketcity in Bengaluru
Apart from this stunning tree, Spanish artist Manolo Rubio has worked on art installations inspired by the traditional Spanish Falles celebration
It is 75 feet tall and is being touted as India's tallest Christmas tree in India. You read it right, this Christmas tree that is as tall as a seven-storey building has been put up at Phoenix Marketcity Bengaluru as part of The World of Christmas Season 2 celebrations at the mall.
Last year, a 65-feet tall tree was the attraction at the mall and this year the venue has outdone itself by putting up the 75-feet tree adorned with over 50,000 flickering lights. In addition, the base is surrounded by huge installations of reindeers, dancing girls, light houses, cups, candies and kettles. All these larger-than-life pieces have been hand-cut and painted by Spanish artist Manolo Rubio.
The unique aspect about Christmas celebrations at Phoenix Marketcity is the European Christmas Market. Stalls selling a wide variety of Christmas merchandise from around the globe are spread across the mall premises. Expect Christmas trees, Santa Claus toys, sparkling baubles, tinsels, snowflakes, icicles, artistic Christmas balls, handmade décor and stockings to wooden birds, and home décor lights.
However, the highlight is certainly the Christmas tree that's placed at the entrance of the mall. Apart from this stunning tree, artist Manolo has worked on a Surreal Design Studio that displays art inspired by the traditional Spanish Falles celebration.
The World of Christmas Season 2 is on till December 25 and includes performances by jugglers, magicians, Illusionists, LED Light Show, International Dance Acts, Santa & Angels, Tap Dancers, Carnival Dancers, Mirror Man and much more.
