Until Sunday, American TV personality and make-up mogul Kylie Jenner had the record (with 18.1 million likes) of the most-liked post on Instagram. The photo from February last year was the first photo of Kylie's newborn daughter, Stormi Webster.
The record, however, has now been beaten by an egg!
At 26 million likes (now), the photo posted on January 4 by an Instagram account @world_record_egg smashed Kylie's record on Sunday afternoon.
The photo's caption read: "Let's set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this."
Shortly after her record was broken, Kylie responded with a Snapchat video featuring herself cracking open an egg on the road. "Take that little egg," she captioned the post.
@world_record_egg has reacted to the achievement with another post that read: "This is madness. What a time to be alive," the story read. "It doesn't end here though, we're only just getting started."
