Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra on Wednesday revealed her early days in the film industry before she went on to make it big with Bollywood films as well as internationally with her popular ABC television series Quantico.
The actress in an interview with international magazine said she was told last year, a studio called her agent and said she had the 'wrong physicality'. However, when she discussed with her agent whether it was a problem with the body type - does she have to be skinnier, get in shape or even have abs for the role. Her agent said they may be they wanted somebody who was not brown.
The internationally acclaimed actor was also seen in Baywatch in 2017 alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Among other aspects of being an actor, he also spoke about the wage gap in the industry between male and female actors. She went on to add that if a male actor was getting 100 bucks, the conversation for female actors will start at just Rs 8. It is that bad.
Priyanka Chopra also went on to say that she has been told that if there is a female actor with bigger male co-star names, then the actor's worth is not really considered.
