Popular Hollywood actress Charlize Theron on Saturday said she has actually thought of moving out of the US just so her adopted African-American children would not be in trouble over the increased concerns of racism.

The 42-year-old actress famous for her roles in The Italian Job, Hancock and Prometheus among others said due to the current political and social climate in the country, she wants to ensure that her children, ages six and two, feel safe.

She also went on to add that there were certain places in the US where she wouldn't go even if she got a job or travel with her kids, and that gets really problematic.

"There are a lot of times when I look at my kids and I'm like, If this continues, I might have to (leave America). Because the last thing I want is for my children to feel unsafe", Charlize Theron said.

The actress was born in South Africa and grew up during the apartheid era and said that her children have to know the times are changing and it is going to be difficult for them to live in them.
