Actor Aamir Khan seems to have put cinema aside and is busy working for his Paani Foundation, which works for the welfare of drought-hit people in India. The foundation is working on creating awareness about water management and draught prevention in villages of Maharashtra. 

Recently, Aamir and his wife, Kiran Rao, stopped by at a dhaba in Zhawadarjun village in Maharashtra for some refreshing sugarcane juice and bhel puri. He wrote, “At Zhawadarjun village yesterday. Stopped for the best ganney-ka-juice on the way there. (sic)”

Celebrities including Madhuri Dixit Nene and Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar have voiced their support for the cause.

On the work front, Aamir Khan will be next seen in Forrest Gump's Hindi remake titled Lal Singh Chaddha.
