This new motorcycle was first showcased at the Jawa brand launch last year and it has finally made it to the market after a lot of customers showed a lot of interest in owning such a bike.
For the Perak, Jawa has stuck to a retro look theme that carries a rather sinister look thanks to the design theme also being inspired by the spirit of stealth.
The Jawa Perak powered by a 334 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder, four-stroke DOHC engine is BS6 compliant. The engine delivers 30 bhp of power and 31 Nm of peak torque.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with gear ratios optimised to offer a great riding experience. The bike features a tweaked chassis with an all-new swing arm to allow for that distinct look.
The frame and swingarm have been optimised to ensure that the rider has good transverse, longitudinal and torsional rigidity that allows for better handling and a stable ride.
Completing the packaging is the signature twin Jawa exhausts that have been ‘chopped’ to add to the aesthetics.
The retro-looking motorcycle also gets ‘bobbed’ fenders and a floating seat that are all elements of a quintessential bobber.
It currently doesn’t have any serious competition and there isn’t anything like it out there in this category, so if you want a head-turner that delivers on performance, the Perak might be the bike for you.
Considering the entire package and price point, this is actually a rather good deal.
The Jawa Perak is priced at INR 1.94 lakh.
