Mahindra unveils the new Thar Roxx SUV

The much talked about and much-awaited Thar Roxx was officially launched today. The design cues continue from the 3-door model and retains the upright styling. The SUV has LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs and sports a redesigned grille. It also features new alloy wheels.

The vehicle was launched at a starting price of INR 12.99 lakhs for petrol and INR 13.99 lakhs for diesel. There are six variants each in petrol and diesel with 4x4 available on select few. Petrol engine produces 175bhp and 380Nm of torque, while diesel produces 175bhp and 370Nm torque.

The transmission is 6-speed for both manual and automatic and the top versions get Panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and 9-speaker Harmon Kardon system. Acoustic windshield helps cut interior noise. Pricing of top variants have not been released yet.

Bookings from October 3, deliveries start on Dussehra day.

Actor John Abraham made a special appearance at the launch, lending his celebrity charm to the unveiling of the much-anticipated car.
