While there was a lot of hype surrounding Thugs Of Hindostan before the release, the visible failure later disappointed a lot of fans, who expected a lot more from the film. However, the actors too addressed the flop and in the most recent acknowledgement, Katrina Kaif, everybody was sad it did not work but somehow that gives everybody a reality check.
In a recent interview, Katrina Kaif said the failure of the film hurt all of the actors including Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, among others. However, the disappointment is good because it wakes you up again because it was not the lack of trying but something just went wrong with the film. She also went on to add that actors need to have the guts and urge to try something new and be prepared for it to work or fail too.
Interestingly, the actor is preparing for her upcoming release Zero, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, in lead roles. She will play the role of a troubled movie star, while SRK plays the role of a vertically-challenged man. The actor said it is difficult to say how a film will work before it releases, but has full confidence in director Aanand L Rai, who is one of the finest storytellers in cinema, according to her.
