Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, mother Vrinda KR invest in Bengaluru start-up
Adding to the group of celebrities who are investing in startups, Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, along with her mother, Vrinda Rai, has invested in Bengaluru-based environmental intelligence startup called Ambee. Reportedly, the mother-daughter duo invested INR 50 Lakh each in the start-up.
Founded in 2017 by Akshay Joshi, Jaideep Singh and Madhusudan Anand, Ambee, reportedly provides data about air quality which is accessible to developers, consumers, health researchers and media companies. As of now, Ambee has raised over INR 3.22 Cr from multiple investors.
Over the last few years, Bollywood celebrities have been exploring investments in the technology space to diversify their interests and use their reach for entrepreneurial goals.
