Actor Deepika Padukone shared the first look of her upcoming film, Chhapaak, today. While she’s receiving a lot of love from fans and other industry stars, Kangana Ranaut’s sister, Rangoli Chandel, had something special to say.
“No matter how unfair and unjust the world is we must not reflect what we hate. This is commendable on Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar's part. Being an acid attack survivor, I pledge to be their biggest cheerleader,” Rangoli said retweeting Deepika’s first look tweet. Rangoli is an acid attack survivor.
Deepika received appreciation and support from Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra Dia Mirza and others, while her husband and actor Ranveer Singh shared the first look on his social media accounts.
Chhapaak is based on the life and experiences of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and is set to release in January next year.
