Before she became wife to Prince Harry and Duches of Sussex, Meghan Markle was a successful actor playing the lead in the US-based legal drama Suits. As is required by the Royal Family, she chose to start a new chapter of her life by quitting acting after she got married to Prince Harry. But now after almost a decade later, Meghan Markle may be finally returning to acting again amidst her couple’ much talked about UK move. According to sources, she might be playing a part in the Season 3 of Guy Ritchie’s comedy drama, The Gentlemen.
While she did not ‘act’ the cameras never really left her. As part of her duties as an active Royal her actions were always under camera. Even after she and Prince Harry made their big move to the United States after stepping down from being active royals, she was seen in Netflix’s non-fiction documentaries where she gave the viewers a glimpse into her non-Royal, cottage-core life Harry & Meghan and With Love, Meghan. More recently she was spotted as a special guest at Masterchef Australia on one of their episodes. In fact, she also announced that she would be doing a cameo in Close Personal Friends. With talks about returning to acting, could this be a new chapter for Meghan?
The Gentlemen
Guy Ritchie’s series The Gentlemen stars Theo James in the lead. In fact, the second season will premiere this September 2. Interestingly, the news of Markle joining the team comes at a time when the show itself has yet not been renewed for its third season. However, looking at its popularity there are high chances that it might be renewed for another season. Could this piece of information then be a confirmation of the show’s renewal for season 3 and Meghan Markle’s presence in it, both at once? Only time will tell, since neither Guy Ritchie, the production nor Meghan Markle or their representatives formally made any announcements.
Return to the United Kingdom
This news also comes in the middle of Prince Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK, which was announced earlier this week. It is said that the series is filmed not very far from where the couple and their children will set up base in a non-Royal residence. The couple reunited with King Charles and Camilla earlier this year in a private reunion with their children Archie and Lilibet. And this is being seen as reconciliation between the families post six years of living in California.
