

Actor Stewart McLean from the Canadian television shows Virgin River, Arrow and Happy Face has died, with police investigating a possible murder in connection to his disappearance. McLean's body was reportedly found in Lions Bay, British Columbia, on May 22, just one day after authorities announced that he was likely a victim of murder.
Stewart McLean disappeared from Lions Bay, The Squamish Royal Canadian Mounted police reported the missing person status on May 18th and initiated a search for McLean the same day. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is currently working on putting all of the evidence together leading up to his absence. According to reports, IHIT is collecting evidence on the days leading up to May 15th.
IHIT Corporal, Esther Tupper said in a press statement, “As the investigation continues to unfold, homicide investigators are working to collect and analyze evidence, review CCTV footage and conduct interviews to build a timeline of Mr. McLean's activities prior to May 15, 2026. We are pursuing all available leads as we work to find answers for the family, friends and loved ones of Mr. McLean”
According to police, authorities have been working on locating Stewart McLean ‘from the onset of the missing persons investigation.’ The authorities have also claimed that the matter is ‘an isolated incident.’ After the actor’s death was confirmed, tributes started flowing from his colleagues and others who were associated with him in the business world.
This news was confirmed by Lucas Talent Inc. on behalf of McLean via Facebook by Jodi Caplan, the actor’s talent agent. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved client, Stew McLean,” the statement read. “I was fortunate to have worked with Stew for more than 10 years.”
