With the number of urban working parents on the rise, society is witnessing a steep surge in the count of children with psychological disorders. In the absence of parental care or company and mostly taken care of by nannies or grandparents, these children go through loneliness and become victims of behavioural problems, addicted to gadgets and in some cases, they even fall ill.
Filmmaker Murari M Rakshit tries to show this and more in his upcoming movie, Chhuti. The plot revolves around a well-knit small family, which goes through a crisis when the small kid suffers from trauma and sickness while missing parents at home. It's about the story of overcoming the crisis and bringing back the family, underscoring the alarming social problem in today’s life.
This is Singapore-based Rakshit's second film after Reunion starring Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen, that released last year.
The film stars Rituparna and Saswata Chatterjee in lead roles besides Pradip Mukherjee and Sudipa Basu and music is by Joy Sarkar. The shooting is almost complete and it release during the summer of 2020.
