Walt Disney’s streaming platform Disney+ launches in November with a fresh slate of content
Several shows have been announced on Disney’s latest platform, Disney+. At their fan event, D23 EXPO, both Marvel Studio head honcho Kevin Feige and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy unveiled the following titles that will be available worldwide from November. Disney+ may cost approximately INR 500/monthly.
Besides She Hulk, here are some of the most titles that got the biggest fan reactions online:
What If…? an adaptation of Marvel’s old-school comic series by the same name that imagines alternate outcomes to some of the biggest moments in the publisher’s history. Like Peggy Carter gets the supersoldier serum and begins Captain Britain.
Ms. Marvel is a Hugo Award-winning title about a polymorphous Pakistani-American girl living in New York. The series gained prominence as it is Marvel’s first attempt at portraying a Muslim superhero. Disney+ promises an enticing live-action series.
Moon Knight is a super-power mercenary who is the embodiment Egyptian moon god Khonshu. What’s fun about this character is that his personality shifts between that of a God and his human-persona, which makes him an interesting crime fighter.
These are the titles announced on Phase 4 of the Marvel franchise,
But comics aren’t the only things getting screen time at the D23 EXPO, fans of Disney’s animated classics will also get their fill. The live-action remake of Lady and The Tramp will also be available on November 12.
Star Wars fans can also breathe easy as the first-ever live-action Star Wars show is here: Mandalorian. Written by none other than Jon Favreau—who previously revealed that the series would be set seven years after Return of the Jedi or 23 years before The Force Awakens—the show stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character, who plays the head of a bounty hunter guild.
