So how did he reinterpret Victorian-inspired jewellery for the modern woman? “Luxury today isn’t about owning jewellery that you wear twice a year. It’s about owning pieces that become part of your everyday life. We kept the soul of Victorian craftsmanship—the detailing, proportions, and artistry—but rebuilt it for today’s woman using 925 sterling silver with a luxurious 24kt gold polish. It carries the richness of heritage without carrying the weight of tradition,” explains Manan. He adds, “If a piece can’t move effortlessly from a festive evening to a dinner, it hasn’t been designed for today’s lifestyle.”

He believes women’s relationship with jewellery has changed completely over the years. “Earlier, jewellery was bought for occasions. Today, it is bought for people—often for yourself. Women no longer wait for weddings or milestones to own something beautiful. They celebrate promotions, achievements, personal growth, or sometimes nothing at all. That’s a far healthier relationship with jewellery. Our philosophy has always been simple: Ab Nahi Toh Kab? If something makes you feel confident today, why should you wait for tomorrow to wear it?”

His biggest learning in understanding today’s jewellery customer has been that people don’t want more jewellery. “They want fewer pieces that do more. She wants one necklace that works with a silk sari, a blazer, and an evening dress. She wants quality she can trust, craftsmanship she can see, and value that lasts beyond the purchase. That’s why we focus on creating jewellery that isn’t occasion-bound. Heirlooms are created not by storing them away, but by living in them,” he signs off.
