Five must-try tropical cocktails this summer: From Smoke House Deli to Foxtrot
Think mango, pineapple and tender coconut paired with whiskey, vodka and gin
Summer is almost over but we’re feeling the heat like never before. As dresses get shorter, ACs get cranked up and we prepare for the final stretch of summer, we round up some tropical-flavoured cocktails that will keep you cool yet give you beach vibes. Read on for our recommendations from places like Smoke House Deli, Cafe Felix and The Permit Room:
Smoke House Deli
The Mango Freeze is a freezie, basically a frozen cocktail, which combines fresh mango, basil, Malibu and Bacardi.
Foxtrot - House of Subculture
The Urban Legend is a popular drink here. It is a blend of pomegranate, Kaffir lime leaves, sour mix and tequila.
Try the Sid’s Sidekick for some authentic tropical flavours. The drink is a mix of gin, fresh ginger, sugarcane juice and mint.
Fenny’s Lounge and Kitchen
Aam Panna is paired with vodka, lime juice and orange juice in Maldai Mango, a summer special from this restaurant.
The Permit Room
This restaurant is known for its regional dishes and honest flavours and their drinks section is no exception. Try the Mallu Delight (tender coconut water, white rum and fresh cream) to get some respite from the heat.
