If you are in Howrah or you are craving for some homemade street food of Kolkata, then there is a delectable address that you should add in your list.
Kolkata Jomjomat at Avani Mall in Howrah is a paradise for street food lovers, with a homely touch. Celebrating the true taste of Kolkata you will find favourites like Moghlai Paratha, Fish kobiraji, Chicken cutlet, dak bungalow chicken, fish finger roll, railway mutton curry, pulao and more.
Keeping the health factor in mind there is less use of oil and when we took a bite of the Moghlai Paratha here, which is usually drowned in oil, we were pleasantly surprised. The chicken cutlet was crispy and finger-clicking good. One can also find the popular street food roll here and that’s less oily as well. On the dessert section, there are some mouth-watering dishes like mango soufflé, fruit salad, mishi doi.
Speaking on this occasion, Papia Bhattacharya owner of Kolkata JomJomat who collaborated with her friends to start this venture, said “Kolkata has the best street food. We wanted to bring the best fast food of Kolkata here so that people can enjoy this mouth-watering fast food under one roof in Howrah. We look forward to strengthening our presence in more parts of Kolkata to new realms of success”.
Co-owner Shemonti Chanda further added, “From office goers to friends, families and couples coming for quality time – we want to provide a memorable dining experience. The menu is beautifully customized to satisfy every palette and I hope Kolkata JomJomat carves a place in the culinary world.” The pricing is pocket-friendly keeping in mind the location and the customers.
