With the scorching heat knocking on the doors, how often do you feel like munching on something refreshing that would awaken your senses? If you are up for light food but with a balance of summer flavours and fresh ingredients, then check out the Summer Pop Menu by Traffic Gastropub. Indulge went over to taste its new menu too and we were indeed floored by the thoughtfully curated dishes which has something for everybody.

Up first we kicked off our lunch with the Watermelon Feta Salad. A wonderfully presented dish, squared chunks of seedless watermelons were layered with feta cheese along with candied walnuts and greens. The sweetness of the fruit balanced very well with the saltiness of the cheese and to add a pop of caramel into the mouth, the walnuts did total justice to the flavours. We paired it with the refreshing Rooh Afza Rose Fizz, a cocktail with generous Rose flavouring. Should you prefer to opt for a non-alcoholic version that can be requested too.

The Honey Mustard Pineapple Chicken Skewers followed next. The succulent chicken kebabs derived its flavours from the sweet and pungent honey-mustard with a subtle hint of pineapple. It went very well with the Tropical Sunset Bliss, a drink with its innovative pineapple and cinnamon flavours.

For the mains, we would definitely come back for the Kaffir Lime infused Grilled Fish Steak served with Cherry Tomato Risotto. While the fresh Bhetki was so soft and light on the stomach with subtle hints of kaffir lime, what elevated the dish was the risotto. The Cherry Tomato risotto had the exact tanginess which would give it flavouring but not go overboard. The tiny cherry tomatoes inside the risotto gave a juicy crunch while eating it.

We concluded the hearty meal with a Rooh Afza Caramel Custard. While the caramel custard was compact with distinctive notes of nuttiness, what lent the dish its flavoring was the Rooh Afza which allowed us to control the amount of sweetness we would want to taste with each bite.

Savoring the limited edition Summer Pop Menu is something you should not miss this season.
