If you crave a sweet tooth this Independence Day, why not binge on some luxury chocolates curated to celebrate the spirit and diversity of this nation? The home-grown luxury chocolate brand, Fabelle Exquisite Chocolates will commemorate India’s 73rd Independence Day with a first-of-its-kind, limited edition chocolate range (which was recently unveiled at ITC Sonar, Kolkata). With this delicious collection, Fabelle pays tribute to India’s rich culinary culture by identifying some of the most beloved ingredients from across the country and pairing them with white, milk, dark and ruby chocolates. In order to develop these chocolates, Fabelle divided the country into six zones namely Northern Himalayan Region, Thar Desert, Indo  Gangetic Plains, Central Plains, Deccan Plateau and Coastal Regions, and created six chocolate bars, each representing the flavours of a region.

For the Northern Himalayan Region, you have the dark chocolate smoked with tea and pink Himalayan salt, representing the Thar Desert are the ruby chocolates with toasted sesame, salted peanuts and toasted ‘amaranth.’ The Gangetic  Plains have their milk chocolate with jaggery powder and crunchy puffed rice. The Central Plains are represented by dark chocolate with candied orange peel blended with raisins. The Deccan Plateau has its white chocolate with coffee and cardamom powder effusion, and the Coastal Regions have a milk chocolate with desiccated coconut powder and candied mango. Across 6 major cities, 600 such bars were tirelessly handcrafted by Fabelle master chocolatiers in a larger-than-life 73 kg chocolate installation to commemorate the 73rd Independence Day, and they will be unveiled on August 15. They will be available for sale until August 18 at the Chocolate Boutique at ITC Sonar, Kolkata, and the chocolate bar installation will also be displayed at V R Mall, Bengaluru.

Moreover, Fabelle Chocolates will be donating proceeds from the sale of these bars to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of India, which is a non-profit organization which works towards supporting deserving children lead a better life by fulfilling their wishes. Each Fabelle bar will cost you around Rs 265. “Independence  Day holds tremendous ground in the list of national celebrations since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning.  Make-A-Wish has granted over 334,000 wishes worldwide to some very deserving children. It’s a great initiative by Fabelle Chocolates, as children love chocolates and celebrating Independence Day with Fabelle chocolates will make the celebration sweeter for them. Last year Fabelle and Make-A-Wish Foundation had fulfilled wishes for 40 kids with regards to their educational  requirements and this year with the proceeds raised from our association with Fabelle, we are hopeful to fulfil several more precious wishes for kids as we celebrate the 73rd Independence Day,” says Mr. Deepak Bhatia, of Make-A-Wish Foundation.
