Director Shoojit Sircar's movie Piku was a blockbuster hit across the world. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in lead roles. Deepika's portrayal of the title role was much appreciated we can’t imagine anyone else but her in the role of Piku.

However, according to the latest news, it is being told that it was not Deepika but Parineeti Chopra who was offered to do the role first.

In the recent episode of Neha Dhupia's show, Parineeti made an appearance with Tennis star Sania Mirza where the actress made the big revelation.

“I didn’t really turn down the film… there was confusion. I was going to do another film at the same time and then that film also didn’t happen, so it was my loss,” the actress said.

On the work front, Parineeti was last seen in Namaste England opposite Arjun Kapoor. She will be seen next in Jabariya Jodi opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The film is slated to release on August 2, 2019.
