A melange of national and international artistes unite at Kolkata Carnival 3

Season three of Kolkata Carnival organised by Retro Kolkata turned into a cauldron of art and culture. A host of national, international and local artists were in attendance who added an eclectic vibe to the exhibition.

Inaugurated by Governor of Jagdeep Dhankhar along with first Lady Sudesh Dhankhar, there were engaging workshops as well by renowned photojournalist Aitai Shakibafar and Babak Kaanai who are known for their street photographer.   

The inauguration also saw special percussion performance by Drumscape where students played drums with buckets in an unconventional orchestra. A dazzling fashion show saw participation from John Sengupta, eminent designer and celebrity stylist, and designer Tania Sohag from Chennai. The ramp walk was marked by the rich indigenous fashion of Bengal. There were also performances by Anny Ahmed, Sudipto Paul, Akib Hayat, Soumyodeep Chakraborty and his band.
