‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ makers drop teaser for the film’s second single ‘Sooseki’; track to be released on May 29

The fever pitch for Pushpa 2: The Rule, the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, continues to rise. On Thursday, the film’s makers sent fans into a frenzy with the release of a teaser for the second single from the film’s soundtrack.

This upcoming track promises to be a love ballad featuring the film’s star couple, Srivalli (played by Rashmika Mandanna) and her Saami (Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun). Mark your calendars, Pushpa devotees, because Sooseki drops on May 29!  The wait for Pushpa 2 itself won’t be much longer either, with the film slated for a grand theatrical release on August 15.

The announcement video, shared on both X and YouTube, sent social media into a tizzy. Mythri Movie Makers simply captioned the video “The couple song announcement video,” while the YouTube announcement upped the ante with the promise, “Get ready to witness the true 'Sooseki'! Rashmika is coming with a dance step! Song releasing on 29th May 2024. Stay tuned!”

The excitement is palpable, fuelled by the success of the first film’s music. Makers recently released the first single from the upcoming film, Pushpa Pushpa, which captured audiences across India. The video featured Allu with his signature swagger, dancing effortlessly. The song’s infectious energy and the film’s iconic line, Jhukega nahi (won't bow down), delivered with Pushpa’s signature shoulder shrug, left a lasting impression.

Music director Devi Sri Prasad, who scored the music for Pushpa: The Rise, returns to weave his magic for Pushpa 2. Fans who have been eagerly awaiting the sequel since the first film’s explosive December 2021 release can finally breathe a sigh of relief – the wait is almost over. In 2023, Allu received a National Film Award for his captivating performance in Pushpa: The Rise, further solidifying the film's impact.
