Ever since her debut, Taapsee Pannu has carved a niche for herself in the film industry with her stellar performance with some of the legendary actors including Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. If her next film Tadka releases this year, the 32-year-old will have had five releases every year in the last three years!

On her birthday, here are five must-watch films of Taapsee.

Pink (2016)
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, this crime thriller is a landmark film in Indian cinema that talks about issues like rape and consent.
Plot: After being molested, Minal, along with her friends, tries to file an FIR against a politician's nephew. When the subsequent case gets rigged, Deepak, a retired lawyer, helps them to fight the case.

Badla (2019)
A crime thriller again, starring Taapsee and Amitabh together for the second time.
Plot: Naina, a successful entrepreneur and married woman, gets caught in a web of accusations when her lover is found dead. She then hires a reputable lawyer and together they begin to work on the case.

Mulk (2018)
Mulk features Rishi Kapoor and was directed by Anubhav Sinha.
Plot: Murad Ali Mohammed and his daughter-in-law try to prove their innocence after their family gets accused of having ties with extremist groups when Mohammed's son joins a terrorist outfit.

Manmarziyaan (2018)
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, this film stars Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan.
Plot: Rumi and Vicky, who are in love, are caught by Rumi's family and pressurised to get married. However, Vicky refuses to commit, and a broker brings in Robbie as a prospective suitor.

Naam Shabana (2017)
Plot: Jai gets killed in an altercation with some goons, who were teasing Shabana. Later, Shabana gets a call offering help to avenge Jai's death provided she agrees to join a secret intelligence agency.
