Deepika Padukone breaks down at the launch of Chhapaak’s trailer

Deepika Padukone couldn't hold back the tears during the trailer launch of her upcoming movie Chhapaak. The actress was welcomed on the stage after the press was shown the trailer of the film when she broke down.
She said, "Maine sirf iss moment ke baare main socha tha ki aap log trailer dekhenge aur fir humein stage main aana hai. Uske baad humein kuch bolna hai iske baare main toh maine socha nahi tha (I thought that we will be called upon the stage after you watch the trailer. I didn't know that I will have to speak after that)," and then she broke down.”
Pictures and videos of the emotional break down went viral on social media minutes after it surfaced on the Internet. The trailer of Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak released on Tuesday and it features the actress as an acid attack survivor. The film is based on the life and journey of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
When the actress could finally gather herself, through the tears, Deepika said, “It’s not often that you come across stories where you know instantly in the first few minutes of meeting the director that this is what you want to commit your life to. And, Chhapaak it that for me...It's been an incredible journey emotionally, putting it together and irrespective of how it is received and how it does, it will be the most special film in my career.”
