Ranbir Kapoor is diving headfirst into his preparation for the highly anticipated film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. While fully committed to portraying Lord Rama, the dedicated actor ensures his daughter, Raha, remains a priority.
A heartwarming glimpse into this balancing act recently surfaced online. A behind-the-scenes photo from the Ramayana shoot, shared by costume designer Rimple Narulah, captured Ranbir sporting a playful pink T-shirt. The shirt, emblazoned with Raha’s name in Hindi alongside an adorable cartoon panda, served as a sweet reminder of his paternal side. Rimple playfully captioned the post on Instagram, “Can you guess, what is written on his T-shirt! Ramayan shoot days !!! Day-25 #workingwiththebest #indiancinema #costumedesigner.”
Rimple and her husband, Harpreet Narulah, have been entrusted with the monumental task of crafting authentic costumes for this epic saga. Speaking to media sources, Rimple acknowledged the weight of this responsibility. She said, “Ramayana has been the quintessential story of India…We are leaving no stone unturned. We are giving our 100 per cent. We are working round the clock and are being as authentic as possible. Rest is for the world to decide.”
Fans eagerly await official confirmation regarding the film’s cast, but leaked photos have fuelled speculation. Ranbir is believed to be portraying the righteous Lord Rama, while actress Sai Pallavi will be playing his devoted wife, Sita. These roles mark Ranbir’s first foray into a story deeply rooted in India's spiritual and cultural heritage, making the project even more significant.
Once his commitment to Ramayana wraps, Ranbir is expected to shift gears and begin preparations for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film, Animal Park.
