Dulquer Salmaan bags role in Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyan
The movie has been part of controversy ever since the project was announced to the public with initial speculation being that it will star actors Bhumi Pednekar and Ayushmann Khurrana. The crew of Manmarziyan has been on the lookout for a second male lead opposite Taapsee, and have zeroed in on Dulquer Salman. The movie is touted to go on floors in early 2018 and the location will be Himachal Pradesh.
According to a report, Aanand L Rai said that just because he (Anurag Kashyap) made Gangs of Wasseypur, doesn't mean he doesn't understand love. "I gave him a narration, he loved the script, but was busy with Mukkabaaz. I told him we would do both together. He could make my film after finishing his. This way I'd get satisfaction and he, lots of affection,"
Manmarziyan was reportedly canned in 2015 due to professional disagreements between Rai and the then director of the film — Sameer Sharma. Later, Rai approached Kashyap who came on board to anchor the film.
