During the 2015 Chennai floods, actor Siddharth had urged a lot of people to help those affected and yet again he has gone a step further to help all those affected in the flash floods in Kerala in the last week. Siddharth even posted the amount he donated to the victims of the flood while tweeting to everybody about how could he urge them more to help all in Kerala.

According to the tweet, Siddharth donated to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund and posted saying, “I dare you. I beg of you! What do I have to do to make you read and share this? I did the #KeralaDonationChallenge It was awesome! Will you? Please? #KeralaFloods #SaveKerala @CMOKerala.” He also went on to say that he is pained by the lack of attention given to the situation as is quite similar to apathy displayed by the national media to the Tamil Nadu floods in 2015.

The actor also went on to state that while every rupee donated to the cause of the flood relief would help, he also said believed social media had special powers to create magical movements online. He also told people to post their contribution online and it wouldn’t be hard as the Internet loves challenges.

Siddharth is not the only actor to have contributed towards the flood relief. Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Vijay Deverakonda, Allu Arjun, Dulquer Salman and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) among others have also contributed towards it. The devastating flash floods in Kerala have affected a lot of people, and efforts are currently being made to rescue all those affect while also sending supplies through donations.
