With abstract as the medium Maichel Bose's latest exhibition titled Save Lady threw light on the conditions of women in society, recently. Though the topic certainly is not new Bose's compositions catches your attention and makes you not just think but reflect as well. It evokes inexplicable emotions.

With acrylic and mix on the canvas, Bose featured 13 of his paintings at Academy of Fine Arts. While four 30/40 cm canvas captivates you, the smaller ones, 15/20 cm have equal magnetic powers.

Bose who is the principal of Pranavananda Art School participated in the group exhibition along with nine other artists. Talking about the exhibits he says, "I have tried to highlight the status of women still prevalent in society. How they are wronged, sabotaged and not treated equally, even in this century." In November he is eyeing on another exhibition in Delhi.
