BTS tops Hot Tours Recap with highest-grossing of $20 million with just 4 shows in Japan

BTS played eight shows in May, totalling the month’s top-grossing tour, followed by stints in London and Paris in June

BTS is back on top of Billboard’s Hot Tours recap (dated Aug. 3, 2019) with reports from four Japanese shows in July. The seven Seoul superstars grossed a combined $20.3 million and sold 107,153 tickets according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore.

In all, the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour has grossed $99.3 million since launching on May 4 with a series of U.S. stadium double-headers. BTS played eight shows in May, totalling the month’s top-grossing tour, followed by stints in London and Paris in June. And now, they’ve hit Osaka and Shizuoka, Japan, on July 6-7 and 13-14, respectively. Both engagements chart on the Current Boxscore’s latest update, rankings at Nos. 2-3.

All eight engagements on the tour have placed in the top 10 of Billboard’s Boxscore chart and further, the Shizuoka play impacting this week’s charts becomes the group’s sixth to gross over $10 million. Each engagement has been two shows, totalling 16 concerts since May. The Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour has averaged $6.2 million and 50,945 tickets per show.
