Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has been denied the permission for her New Year event in Bengaluru by the Karnataka state government.
Home Minister R Ramalinga Reddy told the media, "We have denied permission fearing law and order problems in the wake of protests by pro-Kannada outfits and also keeping in view the directions of the Karnataka high court in a molestation case reported on MG Road last New Year's Eve,"
According to reports, the minister also mentioned that the decision was taken after a feedback from the Kochi police, keeping in mind her visit to Kerala earlier this year.
However, the event organisers mentioned that have not received any official statement from the government about the decision.
