Australian singer Troye Sivan on Monday slammed American rapper Eminem for using homophobic slurs in his latest album Kamikaze. The singer said the use of the slurs is inexcusable and there is no reason for the rapper to use the words, as they are not appropriate.

According to a report, Troye Sivan who openly came out as gay publicly on Youtube in 2013 said it is not hard to respect the people by not using certain words and he hopes people maintain that while writing lyrics. He went on to add that forgiveness for the actions is possible but not without the right work and while people can grow and change, repeated actions should be taken seriously. Troye said he would love if Eminem showed genuine remorse and understanding for hurting people and should make an attempt to correct that, and only then would he be okay with the rapper.

Eminem came under fire immediately after the release of the album because in the track The Fall, the lyrics say "Tyler create nothin', I see why you called yourself a f--t, bitch", which is in reference to rapper Tyler, the Creator. However, he did acknowledge that he may have gone a bit far and had made a mistake while talking about Tyler. Saying the word faggot was a little too much and in the quest to hurt him, he has hurt a lot of other people (from the community) which is obviously wrong.
