Justin Beiber defends Scooter Braun after Taylor Swift tears into him for owning her music

There seems to be some Bad Blood brewing between Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber. The You Need To Calm Down singer had revealed that her entire music catalogue would soon be own by Scooter Braun.

"For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work," Swift began in a post on her Tumblr page. "Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and 'earn' one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, [Big Machine founder] Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past."

She added, "Some fun facts about today's news: I learned about Scooter Braun's purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I've received at his hands for years."

Scooter currently represents Justin Beiber, in addition to Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and J Balvin and the Sorry star issued his own statement following Taylor's post.

Starting off by apologising for sharing a hurtful and insensitive Instagram post in 2016, where he was seen Facetiming Braun and Kanye West (whose feud with Taylor has gone on for years), Beiber went on to defend his manager.

"Scooter has had your back since the days you graciously let me open up for you," he said. "As the years have passed we haven't crossed paths and gotten to communicate our differences, hurts or frustrations. So for you to take it to social media and get people to hate on Scooter isn't fair."

He continued, "What were you trying to accomplish by posting that blog? seems to me like it was to get sympathy u also knew that in posting that your fans would go and bully scooter. Anyway, One thing I know is both scooter and i love you. I'm sure Scooter and i would love to talk to you and resolve any conflict, pain or any feelings that need to be addressed."

Additionally, Demi Lovato posted her support for Scooter on her Instagram.
