Kolkata boy Shantanu Maheshwari to play a medical student in web series, Medically Yours

After successful web series including Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain season 2 and romance drama PuncchBeat, AltBalaji is back with an all-new medical drama, Medically Yours and guess who's in the show? It's none other than popular youth icon and actor Shantanu Maheshwari. He will be seen portraying the character of a Bengali youth, Abir Basu, who is a medical student.

Talking about the series, Shantanu shares, “I am quite excited to be working on this project. Youth-related content is gaining immense popularity amongst the millennials these days. My character of a final-year medical student in the series is very complex in nature. The show's director is someone whom I have worked with earlier and it’s great to be collaborating with him once again. The series will also be showcasing Kolkata, which is my hometown and I am extremely happy about that!”

The story focuses on the struggles in the daily life of a medical student. It’s going to be a tale that’s not just going to reveal their mental and emotional hardships, but also how each decision they make affects their family and personal relationships, tell sources.
