After the success of Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh is on a high but he is already busy with his next film 83, which is being directed by Kabir Khan. In the latest development for the film, it has been reported that former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev’s daughter Amiya will be joining as an assistant director. Interestingly, the film is also about the Indian cricket team and captain Kapil Dev, who won India their first ever cricket world cup. 

Kapil Dev has been a part of the preparation for the film ever since Ranveer Singh started training to ace the mannerisms and attitude. With Amiya entering the film, it is going to be quite an experience for father Kapil to work with his 23-year-old daughter. On the other hand, Sandeep Patil’s son Chirag will be playing the role of Ranveer Singh’s dad. He said Amiya is playing quite an important role in the film as she is part of the daily training sessions and even keeps them updated on any meetings they need to attend. He went on to add that whenever he is in Kabir’s office, he always finds Amiya there because she is involved in the costume design and schedule too. 

The Bollywood film is set to go on floors from May 15 as the team is currently headed to Dharamshala for a bonding session before they fly to the different destinations for the film. Ranveer Singh along with the team will be flying to London and Scotland to shoot for the film.
