The film is the story of Meg Murry’s life, a gangly adolescent who travels across dimensions to rescue her scientist father. Meg is guided by a trio of angels played by Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling. The book and the movie are about what it means to be a source of light in the world of darkness.
