In an interview with Kirti Kulhari, who plays a girl from Balochistan, and Bilal Siddiqi, the writer of the book as well as the series (he co-wrote the series with Mayank Tiwari), we trace the journey of Bard of Blood, from a book to the web-series.

While Kirti tells that she was particularly intrigued by Jannat’s background being a Balochi girl and fell in love with the character the moment she heard it, Bilal reveals that the story was never written for anyone else’s consumption but his own. Interestingly, Jannat wasn’t a part of the book but was later added to the script of the web-series and Bilal feels it elevated the entire story.
