Before the summers arrive in Hyderabad, a pair of luxe eyewear with more than 90 per cent UV protection could certainly add as a wardrobe investment. The all new store, Specsy, established by two city-based entrepreneurs in their early twenties – Nikhil Giri and Raaghav Akula – attempts to bring luxury sunglasses and powered spectacles from around 24 brands.

Going by the tagline,  ‘I am Specsy and I know it’, the store boasts of quirky interiors with wall art of men with varying hairstyles and shades that match their personality. Would have been nice to see a woman’s cut out as well, we tell the founder, Nikhil.

“But we have more designs for women here, I think that makes up for it,” he says with a laugh.  There are brands ranging from Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce and Gabbana, Dita, Cartier, Prada, Burberry, Versace, Oakley to good old Vogue and Ray-Ban. However, a pair of Cartier spectacles with a gold rim is the most coveted buy at this place and comes at around 5 lakh rupees.

Rs 4,000 onwards
