Google Maps recently launched a new ‘Offers’ section on its 'Explore' tab that shows distance-sorted restaurant offers in 11 cities – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.

To complement the India-focused explore tab, Google has partnered with EazyDiner to offer discounts of over 25 per cent in its partner restaurants.

Google Maps users will reportedly get exclusive access to EazyDiner Prime offers till 25 July across 1500 restaurants, with a guaranteed discount of at least 25 per cent on each dine-out.

Two other features introduced by Google Maps include a redesigned explore tab and a new ‘For You’ experience.

The app now holds more information on popular neighbourhoods in the city on its ‘Explore Nearby’ element. This option leads to user photos, reviews, directions to the venue, and more.

Supposedly using machine learning, Maps combines information on millions of places, including prior restaurant ratings, cuisines liked over time, and places visited to collect a ‘Your Match’ score.

This feature is personalised based on favourited areas and localities on the map, and the user will reportedly receive relevant recommendations over time.

Users can also follow a business and get relevant updates, and news on events.
