Dim sum platter
Calcutta

Here’s why you need to visit this Park Street spot at the earliest!

The inspiration behind this concept lies in the rich culinary heritage of both Neapolitan pizza and dim sum.

Park Street Social has introduced a unique culinary fusion, blending the traditional flavours of Neapolitan pizza (with a few twists) with the delicate intricacies of dim sum, creating an experience that celebrates the harmonious union of East and West.

Chicken sriracha dim sum

Paired with Social’s curated cocktails, these cheesy pizzas are a match made in heaven. The inspiration behind this concept lies in the rich culinary heritage of both Neapolitan pizza and dim sum. While Neapolitan pizza, with its thin, yet soft and airy crust, fresh ingredients, and wood-fired cooking method, represents the essence of Italian culinary tradition, dim sums embody the artistry and precision of Asian cuisine, offering a wide array of bite-sized delicacies that are visually appealing and delicious.

Paneer tikka and bell pepper pizza

The relationship between foodies and pizzas and dim sums is a strong one, and we decided to try all three types of non-vegetarian dim sums and one vegetarian variant. Here is our verdict on the same. The vegetable crystal dim sum had a thin outer layer and crunch from the stuffing. The filling was adequate, rightly seasoned, and full marks for that. We also tried the chicken sriracha dim sum, coriander chicken dim sum, and crab and prawn dim sum. Among these, the sriracha one turned out to be our favourite. The filling was juicy and succulent, with a hint of spice, making it even more delectable.

Mangsho, onion and chilli pizza

Out of the elaborate pizza menu, we settled for Paneer tikka and Bell pepper pizza and Mangsho, onion and chilli pizza. The veg pizza had a tikka masala gravy and cheese topping, blending in perfectly with generous bits of paneer and bell peppers. It tasted decent, and might as well be a popular choice for those who want to play safe. The non-vegetarian pizza, on the other hand, had chunks of well-cooked mutton, onion slices, and pieces of chilli, giving off a Bengali traditional Kosha Mangsho vibe.

Do drizzle a generous amount of chilli oil along with the chilli crisps that are served with the dim sums on your pizzas.

Dim sums start at Rs 450 and pizzas start at Rs 490.
