If you love the Indian vibe – where the music is loud, the food is colourful and walls spout attitude with cheeky graffiti, Revolt: Back To Basics, could be right up your alley. Located on the busy Road no 36 of Jubilee Hills, this week-old outlet also accommodates a dance floor and has a seating capacity of 70.
While there are enough drinks to choose from, the food menu is quite elaborate and covers cuisines including Chinese, Indian and Continental.
Of the two cocktails served to us, first on the table was Revolt Kiwi Martini – an exotic blend of vodka, kiwi, bell peppers, Triple Sec (a variety of Curaçao liqueur) and a pinch of lime. Sporting a neatly sliced piece of kiwi, the drink was refreshing with a hint of spice, thanks to red and green bell pepper garnish.
Accompanied with chopped onions and Dahi Ki Chutney was Malai Broccoli (broccoli marinated with cheese and cream), that was tandoor-cooked to perfection.
Quick to follow was the deep-fried Thai Chicken Wings. Stuffed with Chicken Kheema, the wings were succulent and delicious.
Meanwhile, the Ice Berg Margarita, was a vision in blue with cherries on the top, literally. Unlike the first one, this was a Tequila-based cocktail with Blue Curaçao, triple sec and an orange peel topping. “Guests can choose from the range of flavours including Mandarin and Strawberry,” said Sohan Singh, the executive Chef.
The most attractive offer by Revolt is their range of special lunch combos that are priced as low as `99. The combo lets you choose from a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes including starters, main course and fizzy drinks.
Price for two `800.
